All GWCT research and action is dependent on the support and interest of our dedicated Membership. Our Members share our belief that sustainable conservation practice should be founded on firm scientific research and that good wildlife and game management is fundamental to successful conservation.
Our Members also know that their support enables the GWCT to:

• Use our science to promote game and wildlife management as an essential part of nature conservation.
• Promote our work to conservationists so that our countryside and its wildlife are enhanced for the public benefit.
• Influence government policy to create progressive and effective policies.
• Advise on best practice for field sports that contribute to improving the biodiversity of the countryside.

All Members receive advance information on our activities through our monthly e-newsletter, our Gamewise magazine and a personal copy of our Annual report. They are welcomed into their local County Groups and its activities, and are invited to attend regular Member events including GWCT Open Days and the Annual Conference that was held this year at the Darwin Centre at the Natural History Museum in London.
