Scottish Conference 2010
Glorious game, biodiversity benefits
19th March 2010
Welcome
Game management is the primary use of 20% of Scotland’s land and is a significant activity on the agricultural and forestry land which occupies another 75% of our country. The Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust’s Scottish Conference 2010 will celebrate this investment by:
- Research: Informing our supporters of the research the Trust undertakes with their backing.
- Benefits: Illustrating the breadth and depth of benefits which Scotland enjoys as a result of game and wildlife management.
- Practice: Presenting the latest in practical management techniques based on our science which can improve game and wildlife conservation.
- Policy: Describing how we use our knowledge and experience to improve the understanding of the policymakers whose decisions influence game management.
In the International Year of Biodiversity this conference will mark the importance and contribution of practical conservation. We hope you and your guests can join us and we look forward to welcoming you.
