The Partridge, Quail, and Francolin Specialist Group has no provision of money to support research and conservation projects. However, through a network of specialist reviewers we elicit project proposals in order to provide a service to anyone wishing to undertake a project falling under our remit. Many who have submitted proposals to us have found that with our recommendation funding for projects has become much easier to obtain and several funding agencies require that we approve of projects before they will help with funding.
We have a formalised application process. We are currently putting together instructions German, French, Russian, and Cantonese. We require that the proposal be submitted in English. When a proposal is submitted we try to complete the review and respond within one month.
